Silverwall

Silverwall is an antibacterial polyester with anti-smell functions, manufactured by adding an antibacterial agent during the melting spinning process which does not alter the physical and mechanical characteristics of the yarn. The chemical agent that is used is a ceramic and silver ion based one, containing zirconium phosphate. The result is an antibacterial action that is active to inhibit the development of non-pathogenic micro-organisms, which cause unpleasant smells.

The main characteristics are:

Safety. With Silverwall there are no potential risk deriving from the use of chemical agents. The antibacterial ceramic in the polymer is safe (Oeko-Tex standard 100), produces no cutaneous irritation through contact and does not migrates through the environment.

Durability and wash-resistance. The antibacterial function which is intrinsic to the polymer, has a permanent antibacterial effect, which after repeated washing and dry cleanings is not eliminated, moreover is not altered by the exposition to light, heat and humidity. The durableness is guaranteed by the permanently active mechanism of the additive.

Cleaning and hygiene. The effective action of Silverwall against a wide range of bacteria and funguses, prevents their exponential development and in the meantime reduces the presence of unpleasant smells.

Final uses and potential development: clothing (underwear, stocking, workwear, catering industry, medical industry, lining, sportswear, soccer, basket), furnishing and bedding (covering, fabrics for mattres, blankets, sheets, quilts, shower-curtains, towels) and other uses (filter, cleaning-cloths, hunting/fishing clothing, military clothing).
